Accessibility statement

Last updated: 14.10.2026

Tiyulim (tiyulim.org.il) is a personal, non-profit tool for planning trips. We want the site to work for everyone, including people with disabilities, in line with the Equal Rights for Persons with Disabilities Law and the accessibility of service regulations (regulation 35), and with Israeli Standard SI 5568 (based on WCAG 2) at level AA.

How accessible it is

[Fill in: the site meets SI 5568 at level AA / the site is partly accessible – after a review.]

What we adapted

• You can choose Hebrew (right to left) or English (left to right). The page language and direction follow that choice, so a screen reader announces it correctly.
• A "Skip to content" link at the start of every page, and a clear focus outline when you move with the keyboard (Tab).
• Buttons and tap areas are at least 40 pixels tall, for phones and for people with a motor disability.
• Text labels on form fields and on icon buttons (for example ✕ for delete), and a description for pop-up windows. The directions window keeps Tab inside it, and closes with Esc, returning to the button that opened it.
• The site supports browser text zoom up to 200%, and the operating system's "reduce motion" setting.
• The site doesn't use flashing, autoplaying video, or a time limit.

Known limits

• Interactive maps (OpenStreetMap) aren't fully usable with a screen reader. Everything on the map is also written out as a list (stops, travel times and direction links).
• Automatic suggestions and AI answers are generated automatically and may be wrong.
• Files you upload (tickets, photos) are outside our control for accessibility.
• Links to other sites (Google Flights, Waze, the Israel Nature and Parks Authority and so on) – their accessibility is up to those sites.
