Privacy policy

Tiyulim (tiyulim.org.il) is a personal tool for planning trips. This page explains what is stored when you create a dashboard, who receives it, and how long it is kept.

What is stored

• The trip name, dates, destinations, place and hotel names, children's ages, free-text notes, and booking details you choose to enter: booking codes, seats, prices and phone numbers.
• Files you upload (tickets and photos) are stored with the trip, and only someone with the edit link can open them.
• By default the view link does not include booking codes, seats, prices, phone numbers, children's ages or notes. The trip owner can choose to show them.

Who processes the data

• Google Gemini, xAI and OpenAI: when you use AI suggestions, trip questions or text extraction, the relevant trip details (destinations, ages, place names and the question) are sent to these providers to produce an answer.
• OpenStreetMap (Nominatim, OSRM and Overpass): place names are sent to find an address, a map and a route.
• Weather (Open-Meteo): an approximate location of the destination is sent to show a forecast.
• Netlify: the site and its data are hosted by Netlify, including trip storage.
• Some suggestions also use Wikipedia, hebcal (the Hebrew calendar) and public data (data.gov.il) to show places and holidays.

Some of these providers are outside Israel, so details may be processed abroad.

How long data is kept

A trip is kept until its owner deletes it from the edit page, or until it is deleted after an email request. There is no automatic deletion by date yet.

How to ask for deletion or correction

The trip owner can delete the dashboard with the delete button on the edit link. Anyone can ask for deletion, correction or a copy of information about them by emailing erikb1008@gmail.com.

Rights under the Privacy Protection Law

Under Israel's Privacy Protection Law, 5741-1981, including Amendment 13, you have the right to know that data is collected, to access it, to ask for a correction, and to ask for deletion, as the law provides.
