About this route

A 4-day route in Eilat and the Arava: Red Sea Jazz, Eilat and the Arava (ג'אז ים סוף, אילת והערבה). A long weekend in Eilat around the jazz festival, with a day in the Arava between Timna and Hai-Bar and a day on the coral beaches. Recommended season: November, during the festival.

On the first day the route passes Eilat promenade (Festival evening on the gulf shore). On the second day the route passes Timna Park (Solomon's Pillars and copper mines) and Hai-Bar Yotvata (Arava wildlife). On the third day the route passes Coral Beach Nature Reserve (Snorkeling on the reef), Underwater Observatory (View below the surface) and Mount Tzfachot (Sunset view over the gulf). On the fourth day the route passes Red Canyon (A short walk between red rock walls).

Style: Festivals, Couple and Nature. Tips: Concerts are in the evening, so keep daytime outings short. The Arava is hot even in November – water and a hat. The reef is fragile: do not stand on coral.
